That’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder as Sharon Newman has now been given the task to take care of Cameron Kirsten’s business. But is Sharon really someone qualified to handle the job? As many fans know by now, Sharon is working with Adam Newman and Nick Newman in the hopes that they can bring Cameron’s company to the next level, now that it’s all been left in her hands. And while that’s great news for her, a lot of fans think this might be a little bit of a stretch. The woman is clever, but she’s really not that clever. 

Of course, some The Young and the Restless fans have commented on Sharon’s new job and her new CEO title by writing on Twitter, “Are we suppose to believe that Sharon is suddenly a business mogul?? Like come on. This is a reach. From serving coffee to psychology to now running a huge corporation. What a joke,” along with, “I love Sharon and I think her character is great but this is stretching things too much. She’s gone from giving people advice to pouring coffee and now almost being the next Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk. I get that this is a soap but it’s also a little too unrealistic.”

Another critic wrote, “They are trying to make Sharon like Victor Newman but I’m just not seeing it. She is not as ruthless as Victoria Newman and she’s certainly not as smart or sophisticated as Nikki Newman. All Sharon is really good at doing is looking pretty and giving sound advice.”
