The Young and the Restless news suggests that Doug Davidson (ex-Paul Williams) might have never been fired from the soap after all. At least, that’s what a lot of fans can’t help but wonder after the actor himself made quite an interesting revelation on Twitter. Here’s what you need to know.
Was Doug Davidson fired from The Young and the Restless? That’s what a lot of fans have been asking themselves for quite some time now. While the actor himself has never really clarified exactly what happened behind closed doors over at CBS studios, he’s made it no secret that he has been left none too pleased over the fact that he’s no longer on the show. And while a lot of people have assumed that maybe he was fired from the soap, that doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Instead, it looks like Doug might have left on his own accord.
Of course, Doug leaving the show on his own has not been verified, nor has it been confirmed. However, the actor did state on Twitter that he recently cleaned out his dressing room over at The Young and the Restless set. Should he have been fired, his personal belongings would have been cleaned out a long time ago.
Now, as far as what this means for Doug’s character Paul and his future is anyone’s guess. Right now, it is assumed that the character is still alive but at the same time there are no plans to bring Doug back on the show. There has been some speculation though that the producers might kill off Paul Williams just to put an end to his storyline once and for all.
