There’s a new report that suggests the Princess of Wales is definitely tougher than she looks and that she’s willing to defend the monarchy, the royal family, and maybe even her marriage against people like Meghan Markle, should they step out of line again. Is Kate Middleton really that tough? Well, the answer all depends on who you ask. But it seems as though Prince William’s wife is no longer taking any B.S. She has certainly been out and about more and taking on more royal engagements and public appearances by herself. What’s more, she definitely looks like she’s in control of her life, and maybe even her destiny, too. She’s not about to get bullied or pushed around by anyone, either at the palace or beyond.

It goes without saying that many royal fans have noticed a chance in Kate Middleton, too. But others seem to be more critical. Some have commented on Twitter with, “She is tougher because the palace are protecting her. Let her face the little Meghan faced. Let the media start debating how awful she is on a daily basis.”

Another critic wrote, “This is why I call her public persona false because it’s not the real Kate. The real Kate is her mother’s daughter. Just as ambitious, controlling & calculating. Her eye is on the crown even at the expense of her own happiness,” along with, “Why don’t they just revel in the joyous fact that Kate is no Diana. She’s perfect as queen-to-be, bland, uncontroversial, martyr-like, and willing to be long suffering, cuckolded spouse.”
