General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, July 26 tease case discussions, protection plans and solving situations. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) discuss a case, Ava Jerome (Maura West) explains her protection plan and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sets about solving her situation.
Dante and Sam are at home, and although they will discuss a case, what they’re discussing now seems a little more personal. Dante seems almost flirtatious as he asks her about a suspicion, she seems to have about why something will happen. She plays along as she seems a bit flirtatious herself. There is one particular case they would both have personal interest in, however, and that is what recently happened to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
He and everyone else who knows Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) very well know that she’s had something serious happen. He’s tried before to get Sam to help him with Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) but now she might take him a little more seriously.
At the Quartermaine gatehouse, a family discussion is going on with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen). Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had come for a visit, and it went pretty well although she’d come to give them the sad update about Sasha. It’s probably not Sasha Michael is talking about that prompts Willow to confirm he’s basically saying he was right all along. Michael still doesn’t have a good opinion of Nina even though he’s played nice for Willow’s sake.
At Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) apartment, a shirtless and apparently surprised or startled Dex answers the door to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Josslyn asks him exactly who was he expecting, and he’ll have to explain what’s been happening. Dex is doing a rather dangerous surveillance job for Sonny, and it seems like there are lots of dangerous people.
Dex had just been at the scene of a murder and Dante had asked a lot of questions, in particular about the victim. Dex appears to have someone tailing him as well, because Dante knew he was doing something for Sonny at GH.
At Wyndemere Castle, Sonny and Ava Jerome (Maura West) are still talking and somewhat arguing after Sonny figured out the new nanny, Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) is a plant. He wanted to know what Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Gray) had as leverage on Ava, and she finally admitted she killed Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and Mason knew. But what neither Ava nor Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) know is Mason had Nikolas on life support-whether he still does, is unknown. Ava explains what happened the night she “killed” Nikolas with a gargoyle to the back of the head, he had threatened Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola). Ava hisses at Sonny that she will do whatever she has to do to protect her, and that’s not just from Nikolas!
Sonny responds, a bit more calmed down and tells Ava he’s going to take care of everything. Mason should probably start watching his back, but Sonny knows he’s only a low level thug at the bottom of a mob hierarchy. If he eliminates Mason, there will only be more to come, but it’s clear that Sonny has a plan.
Sonny knows that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is in Chechnya, Russia with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) looking for Nikolas. That will have to factor in to whatever Sonny’s got up his sleeve for Mason, and taking care of Ava’s situation.
