General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Is Taking Over The Family Business

You didn’t think that she would be gone for too long, now did you? General Hospital spoilers says that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is about to reveal some huge news to her daughter, Josslyn Jacks. She is the new owner of Kelly’s, as Bobbe had signed over the deed to the restaurant to her before her death. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Spoilers: Carly Is Taking Over The Family Business

Actress Laura Wright, who plays Carly on the hit ABC soap, puts it this way to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “This whole beat was written before Jackie Zeman passed away. They have not had the character of Bobbie die and Carly doesn’t inherit Kelly’s from the character, which would have been a beautiful thing, but this was a choice made a while ago by the writers.”

Laura further explains that the change of ownership goes down when Carly basically buys Kelly’s from her mother for just one daughter. The actress says that her character “plans on paying her full market value eventually.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Carly Corinthos?

General Hospital spoilers say that with her new business, Carly of course has some very big plans. Kelly’s has been in the Spencer family for decades, after all. Carly adds, “When the opportunity comes up, it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, this is absolutely perfect. I can do for Kelly what I did for the Metro Court. I can turn it around and make it the hottest spot on the waterfront again.’”

Laura added that despite the fact that Carly owes $5 million to the SEC, Kelly’s is basically the safety net and the life jacket that Carly needs right now to stay afloat.” 

Now, whether or not she will be able to keep that business afloat, remains to be seen. Here’s hoping that things do work out in her favor.
