The Young and the Restless Spoilers UPDATE Monday, July 24: Phyllis Defies Tucker, Jack Endorses Diane’s Dirtiness

The  Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, July 24 tease that undead Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may have miscalculated how easy it would be to stroll back from the grave and into Genoa City, Wisconsin with a manslaughter charge hanging over her head.

Phyllis does not lack in confidence but she’s gone from teaming with one snake in the grass to another, from Jeremy Stark, to Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John).

The Young and the Restless spoilers: Red Underestimated Her Journey

Phyllis has tied her freedom to Tucker who wants her to worm her way into Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) lives as a way of undermining their mutual enemy Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Phyllis would rather mend fences with her kids Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and she convinces Tucker that this would not arouse the red flags that would pop up if she concentrated on the Abbott men.

Summer’s marriage was destroyed by Phyllis pretending to be dead. Kyle has taken off his wedding ring, kicked Summer out of the Abbott mansion, and is sleeping with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Red has a lot of work to do in order to begin to make it up to Summer who is crushed that Kyle wants nothing to do with her.

Meanwhile, Jack worries about the increasing influence Tucker has on his sister Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). Diane is chomping at the bit to take on her enemies but Jack senses that Tucker will play vicious, and he doesn’t know the half of it!
Diane is no saint so she comes up with a killer strategy sure to throw a wrench in Tashley’s game. She fills Jack in on her delicious scheme and he gives two thumbs up!

There are a couple of ways that Diane’s scheming mind could go. Diane could try and undermine his confidence in Ashley since she only got with him to retaliate against Jack. She says she loves him now, but the sting of being played stays with him. Or Diane could 86 Tucker and Phyllis’ baiting, leaving him having to find a new way to get what he wants. Either way, Diane was not born yesterday and in the coming days she will give as good as she takes, all with Jack’s approval!
