General Hospital (GH) spoilers note Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is a busy man in Port Charles. He runs his own coffee business and is the top mob boss in town, but somehow finds a way to also ensure to keep his loved ones and family safe – and this “network” extends well beyond his fiancé, ex-wife, children, and grandchildren.
Sonny is certainly one of the leading characters on the show, but at times, it feels as if he’s the center of the universe in Port Charles. Does he have his hands in too many storylines right now?

GH Spoilers: Sonny’s “Family” Extends A Little Too Far

Sonny is connected to many through family ties. Obviously, he’s focused on protecting his current love Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), ex-wife Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as she is the mother of a few of his children and youngest daughter. Therefore, he also watches over Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) out of respect. This has him involved in not only the storyline involving Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) death but Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) and Ava’s relationship. He’s wary of the doctor, but aren’t we all?

Sonny has a big part in the Neddie arc, allowing Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) to stay at his place. Furthermore, somehow, he’s also wrapped up with the Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) drama, not to mention how committed he is to helping Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) nail the Metro Court shooter.

This, on top of his commitment to smoothing over his relationship with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), helping Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) with her nonprofit homeless shelter (and surrogacy thoughts), keeping an eye out for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and ensuring Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarolo) and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) live their best childhood lives.
