Sometimes you just have to do things yourself in order to get the job done. And if there’s anyone who knows that feeling all too well, it’s Victor Newman. The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Victor is about to take back control after he realizes that none of his children are capable of getting the job done on their end. But then again, is anyone really surprised over this? Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Victor asks to see Victoria, Adam and Nick for a special family meeting. He cuts to the chase and points out that he stood back and allowed his children to follow their instincts but unfortunately, that led them to nowhere. Amelia Heinle, who plays Victoria on the hit CBS soap, says, “He starts by criticizing Victoria for not buying McCall Unlimited when he suggested it for reasons that made no sense to him. Then Victor says that she pushed Nick out of Newman, not for his mental health, but to give his job to Nate.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Victor does agree that he sees a lot of promise in Nate, but he still doesn’t trust him. If that weren’t enough, Victor then goes on and on about how Adam wanted to use McCall, the company that Victor handed to him, to destroy Newman Enterprises. Clearly, that’s not what he was supposed to do.

Amelia previews, “Victor says that these personal vendettas are tearing the family apart and he’s not going to stand for it anymore. Adam realizes that Victor is taking back control of McCall and he storms out in a huff, which makes Victoria happy. However, Victor then turns to her and says he’s no longer going to play CEO emeritus, which really gives her a reason to worry.”
