General Hospital news says that if there’s one daytime television star that has always remained on our radar, it has been actress Kelly Monaco. Kelly, who is best known for her role as Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap, has had an eventful 2023 so far. Here’s why!
Kelly is someone who almost never gives interviews, unless it’s for professional reasons. That’s why fans were pretty shocked when she opened up about her personal life in a rare interview with Soap Opera Digest back in April. Kelly was asked what was the last thing that she bought in cash and her answer was actually an interesting one. She said, “I just went to Morocco and it’s an all-cash country, and I bought five bracelets, which were made right in front of me, for five of my best friends.”
Kelly also said she loves working for General Hospital and was proud of the fact that the show celebrated its 60th anniversary. The actress has been the face for the soap for many long years. She said at the time, “It’s astounding. I feel like the message of the show is for all of us: Never give up, never stop trying; anything is possible and dreams do come true.”
Before then, people have been wondering why she’s been so quiet on social media this year. People have also been wondering whether or not she’s still dating Billy Miller. Billy and Kelly have not posted anything on social media about their romance. In fact, they haven’t even been photographed together in a very long time. There’s a chance that Kelly might be single and just wanting to spend time on her own.
Back in 2022, Kelly’s house burned down. Kelly said she was sleeping at her Sherman Oaks, Calif., home when she awoke to find a raging fire in her backyard. Thankfully, Kelly managed to escape. “Something as little as a cigarette butt can cause casualties and devastation,” the 45-year-old actress told TMZ at the time.
