The Bold and the Beautiful News: Here’s An Update On Thorsten Kaye

This fictional town of Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful would certainly look very different without Ridge Forrester and even his portrayer, Thorsten Kaye, knows that. That’s why he keeps coming back for more and more drama if you know what we mean. And drama is something Ridge has certainly had! He helped put Sheila Carter away in jail and has recently reunited with the love of his life, Brooke Logan, much to the dismay of his ex-wife, Taylor Hayes. Thorsten sure does have some comments to share about it all. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Thorsten admitted that he was just as shocked over the Brooke Logan reunion as his character Ridge was. He told the publication, “Brooke is the one who initiates this. She says she wants to be with him. This was not supposed to be a reunion trip but it did kind of work out that way. There is something about that city that makes you think about things you should be thinking about, like love.”

Thorsten also opened up about the return of his on-screen son, RJ. He said, I got to read with Joshua [Hoffman, Ridge, Jr.] and I think he’s going to fit in really well, not only because he’s a good actor but knows what he’s stepping into. He was respectful and he respected not just the people in the room but the text. I think it’s going to work out just fine. I’m looking forward to working with him. In fact, when we did our scenes together, I changed things just to see if he would listen. He did, and he came back. It’s fun to play tennis with someone like that.”

The Bold and the Beautiful News: What’s Next For Ridge Forrester?

Also, fans noticed that Thorsten took a little vacation earlier in the year. When asked about what he did with all of that spare time, Thorsten said, “As a family, we traveled. We spent time in Europe. I got some things done around the house. I got to spend time with my daughters and my wife and my dogs and our hedgehog, and just be here. It was very important, and it reminded me I’ve got to be home more.”
