Netflix just did a number of Meghan Markle, but it might not be exactly what you are thinking. As many fans probably already know, Netflix is now streaming the USA legal drama Suits, which the Duchess of Sussex starred on before she met and married Prince Harry. And while we all certainly know that as a fact, Netflix went one step further by putting it in writing for those in the back of the room to see. Yes, they did pull out a shade card, but in favor of Meghan. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
A lot of Netflix fans noticed that when the homescreen for Suits appears, it says, “Co-starring Meghan Markle before she married Prince Harry.” Well, it’s not like they aren’t telling the truth, right? Meghan did have a job before she became a member of the royal family.
Needless to say, many fans have said that the edits are giving them life! Some have commented with, “ou gotta give it to Netflix and their marketing team. Bringing suits onto Netflix was smart. Explains why their spokesperson was so quick to shut down the haters,” along with, “Netflix is so damn shady. I love it. The power of the Royal Family. Has a way of taking you the spotlight…and keeping you there.”
Another fan wrote, “I love it when Netflix trolls folks. Letting people know Meghan was and is the IT girl way before she married Harry. Yes make it clear that the one and only #MeghanMarkle was a somebody with a job and money in her pockets before marrying #PrinceHarry. Love that.”
Clearly, Netflix has spoken and everyone automatically sat up right to listen. With that said, Netflix is also producing a documentary on Africa starring Prince Harry. Spotify might have said that they don’t want the Sussexes anymore, but Netflix is fine with keeping them in their pocket and keeping them there.
