The Young and the Restless Spoilers Wednesday, July 5: Musical Houses, Kyle’s Confrontation, Lily Moves On Up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, July 5 show that Smilin’ Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn’t taking sides in the war between his son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier). The fam lives together and works together so it’s bound to get tense under those circumstances.

Kyle is getting his groove on with another woman and told Summer to pack her knives and go. He doesn’t want to see her at work, either, and thinks she should also leave Marchetti. Jack doesn’t see it that way and he urges Kyle to let Summer stay and he be the one to leave.

This infuriates Kyle who thinks Jack is taking sides. He insists it’s about kindness and eventually Kyle offers to resignation. But, where will Kyle land now that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is Jack’s co-CEO? Three CEO’s is one too many. In a sneaky way Jack points out that Marchetti is the only place available to him.

Kyle wasn’t born yesterday and sees Jack’s machinations. In all of this drama he might be pushed further into Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) hands.

At the same time Summer must leave the Abbott house which means they have to break the news to their son Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez). Look for the boy to maybe kick up some mischief after his world is toppled.

The Young and the Restless spoilers: Chance’s Offer

Elsewhere nepo baby Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) wants to talk with his sister Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and it could be about living arrangements. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) suggested that Devon and Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) move into the Chancellor mansion and he would get a bachelor pad near the GCPD.

Abby and Devon are raising Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and Chance thinks he would be more at home in the mansion (who wouldn’t be?!).

This means Devon’s penthouse is empty so he asks Lily if she wants to move in. At first she’s not sure, but the idea of a penthouse all to herself is too good to pass up! We’ll have to wait and see what this means for her lukewarm relationship with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
