According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Jack asks Kyle to come to his office and announces that some changes are going to be made within Machetti. Yet, Kyle is left absolutely shocked when his father suggests that he resign from the company just because Marchetti is the only thing that Summer is holding on to right now. And clearly, Jack doesn’t want to make things more awkward than they already are.

Actor Michael Mealor, who plays Kyle Abbott on the hit CBS soap, puts it this way in a new interview, “That doesn’t sit well with Kyle, but deep down inside he does understand why. But Kyle is like, ‘How dare you put Summer first and not your own son?’ That’s really hard on Kyle, so will he cave in to his dad?” It would put a burden and awkwardness on the employees of Marchetti should he stay, so he does the right thing and chooses to step down. But it doesn’t mean he won’t hold it against everyone else involved because he does feel alone and attacked by all sides.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers further say that Kyle learned that since Billy is the CEO of Jabot, there’s really no place for him there.
