While there’s no doubt that Spencer and Trina do keep fans on the edge of their seats thanks to all of their non-stop action and the drama surrounding their love story, are they really the next best thing to come out of General Hospital? Well, it all depends on who you ask.

Needless to say, many General Hospital fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some had even commented with, “Those two have no chemistry. He says that Trina is like his home, but you would think Spencer finds more comfort in his cousins or uncles on his mom’s side. People throw out the supercouple label and don’t even know what it means,” along with, “Supercouples are audience-defined popular or financially wealthy pairings that are widely admired in an intense or obsessive fashion and influence society’s expectations of what a great love story or relationship should be. They may or may not be romantic or high-profile and interest in the pairings may be due to a combination of chemistry, physical attractiveness, or because they seem fated.”

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Nicholas And Trina?

Another critic wrote, “Its as if once they pair two characters together nowadays they immediately get coined SUPERCOUPLE. While I have nothing against these two characters I wouldn’t call them a SUPER COUPLE! Especially since the likes of Luke & Laura or Frisco & Felicia had more adversity than a bad dad, too many dads and a lunatic uncle.”
