Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Lamon Archey Opens Up About His Return To Salem

When it comes to the daytime television world, everyone knows that you can never really say never. While a lot of Days of Our Lives fans were both shocked and saddened to learn that Lamon Archey would be leaving the hit Peacock soap back in December, they are now elated to know that he’s back! Not only that, but his character Eli Grant will be sticking around for a little bit of time. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Lamon says that he was asked to come back to Days of Our Lives after receiving a phone call from the casting director, Marnie Saitta. He said, “She contacted my manager and asked if I was free to come in and help out with the storyline they had going on. I didn’t have anything going on at the time.”

Lamon went on to say that the timing couldn’t have been better as his other show, All American, had just wrapped up filming. He said, “It did get picked up for season six, but because of the writers’ strike and everything that’s going on right now, it’s kind of all up in the air when production will start again. Every season you never know. I stopped season two and didn’t know if if I’d be back for season three, then I finished season four and didn’t know if I’d be back for season five … I never find out until they give me a call and say, ‘Hey, we want to bring your character back.’ I’ve been there since the end of season two, and we’re going into season six, so I certainly have a positive outlook.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Eli?

Now, as far as how long Eli will be around, Lamon said that fans can expect to see him for about a month or two. He added, “Working-wise, I never really know when it’s going to be on TV, but I know I was there [filming] for a couple of weeks.”
