General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Sides With Nina When Carly Won’t Support Firing Pilar

General Hospital spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) is in quite the pickle. Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is pushing her to get information on Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) recent deal with the Pikeman Group, a federal defense contractor. Ava tried her hand at snooping around Sonny’s penthouse, but she turned up nothing. So Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) proposed a new plan — they’ll need to plant a new nanny in Sonny’s home to be their personal spy. This means Pilar Juarez (Brenda Barberena) has to go.

But when Ava presents her plan to Sonny and he resists it, she’s going to feel rather defeated. Furthermore, as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) backs Sonny and Pilar, Ava’s eyes might reach the back of her head and she rolls them hard in agreement with every nasty thing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has ever said about Sonny’s ex-wife. Is this the beginning of Ava forming an alliance with Nina, or forsaking her to save her own skin?

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Pushes Back at Sonny

Nothing Ava says is going to break through to Sonny. Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) loves her nanny, and Sonny will be utterly baffled at Ava’s suggestion that they should replace her Pilar. Furthermore, Sonny might grow suspicious. If Pilar has already told him she had an odd exchange with Ava when she was left alone in the penthouse, leaving her boss wondering if Ava was snooping around in his things, Sonny will be bound to get to the bottom of this.

GH Spoilers Hint Carly Agrees with Her Ex

Ava might think she could find an ally in Carly – though we don’t know why – but that’s not what she’s going to find there. Carly and Sonny always present a united front, and Ava should know better than to go barking up that tree. When Carly learns that Ava is trying to force Pilar out of the family home, she’s going to have a strong opinion about it. Doesn’t she always? When Carly agrees with Sonny, affirming every opinion he has, Ava is going to feel like she has no leverage. That will lead her to seek some. After all, her freedom rides on meeting Mason’s demands.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava and Nina Join Forces

In a weird turn of events, Ava will segue from being the friend who was encouraging Nina to come clean with Sonny, to the friend who wants to help her put Carly away forever. It was one thing when Carly was standing in the way of Nina being happy with Sonny, but it’s a whole other thing if Carly is going to stand in Ava‘s way of making progress – knowing Mason is breathing down her neck and threatening to turn her into the police for killing Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).
