The Young and the Restless star Courtney Hope is opening up about her character Sally Spectra’s heartbreaking storyline. As many fans probably know by now, Sally and Adam Newman lost their baby girl after she was rushed to the hospital with excruciating pain. And of course, Courtney has something to say about it. Here’s what you need to know.
It’s without a doubt that both Courtney and her co-star Mark Grossman have been praised for the excellent job they have done with their pregnancy storyline. It’s been an emotional ride for sure. Just recently, Courtney took to her Instagram account to write, “To everyone that has lost a child, in whatever capacity, my heart is with you. I know these last few days have been heavy to watch. The thousands of messages I’ve received from you guys, sharing your stories, makes my heart full with gratitude to witness your openness and strength through one of the most difficult things one could go through in life. I’ve witnessed many loved ones lose their children at different stages of pregnancy and life, including my parents with the loss of my brother and I know it is something that changes your world forever, But I hope you guys know you’re not alone and your story matters.“
Of course, many of her social media fans have also commented on the matter with, “You’re going to win an Emmy for this. Incredible. All of our hearts collectively broke,” along with, “You are killing it on young and restless. I’m so glad they picked you up. That’s the best soap opera with the most views for almost 40 years you’re such a fantastic actress. We love you we want you and Adam to be together on the show we know you’re together off of the show. Congratulations you two are beautiful.”
Another fan wrote, “I had two miscarriages. It was devastating. You captured the entire essence of my pain and heartbreak. Your scenes with Mark were raw emotion. You both were brilliant.”
