UPDATE: General Hospital Star Nancy Lee Grahn Receives Threats After Phone Number Goes Public

Let’s just say that this is not part of a General Hospital storyline, but real life. Actress Nancy Lee Grahn, who is best known for her role as Alexis Davis on the hit ABC soap, woke up to a nightmare situation when her Twitter account was hacked. Even worse, the actress’ phone number was made public and she received a number of threats because of it. Here’s what you need to know.

Early on Tuesday morning, many General Hospital fans couldn’t help but scratch their heads in disbelief when they saw a tweet from Nancy’s Twitter account that said, “no longer a part of @GeneralHospital. i’m sorry to all the fans this may upset, but i feel like it’s time to move onto bigger and better things – nancy.”

Clearly, that was not Nancy at all. However, Los Angeles Times correspondent Kurt Bardella was very quick to point out that Nancy’s account had been hacked and that she has been receiving anonymous threats all morning long. He wrote, “Hey @elonmusk @Twitter @TwitterSafety @TwitterSupport … this person has hacked actress Nancy’s Twitter and posted her phone # and is sending her threats … please do something asap…”

Luckily, Twitter did manage to Nancy her Twitter account back as she wrote to her fans, “hey everyone! I’m sorry about all the tweets from earlier, my account was hacked by @WubsNet and i just got it back. deleting the tweets now, but it may take awhile.”

At least, we think that was Nancy’s writing. So far the actress’ spokesperson has not made any comments about the matter but here’s hoping that it doesn’t happen again. We can only wonder how someone like Alexis Davis would handle this! With that said, no one knows why Alexis was the target of this hack, but as many fans are probably already aware, the actress is very vocal about her political opinions on social media. We have a feeling that after this experience, she might end up switching to another social media platform.
