According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Traci tries to do a little damage control and restore some unity within the family. But she knows that it won’t be easy. Actress Beth Maitland, who plays Traci Abbott on the hit CBS soap, tells the publication in a new interview, “She’s the only Abbott who is not deeply involved in Jabot and who can see past the passion of power and control and jockeying for position.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say that with that in mind, Traci sends a message for the family to meet as soon as possible. When everyone shows up, you can definitely feel the tension and that’s because they’ve been here many, many times before in the past. Beth says, “However, this time, Traci is at her limit with the name calling and defensiveness of her older brother and sister. She sees the danger of a permanent rift in the family because of their romantic entanglements. There’s more at stake than who is in charge of the company or who is justified in their actions.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For The Abbott Family?

Unfortunately though, Traci also realizes that after the meeting, she knows she’s done everything she could do. She also says that she can’t believe that any child raised by John Abbott would choose anger over healing. Beth says, “Now it’s up to Jack and Ashley to step back and think about their own actions. I don’t think Traci will give up, but she can’t force either of them to change their approach. She can only hope she’s somehow gotten through.”
