He just gets better like a fine glass of mine. Days of Our Lives star Greg Vaughan is celebrating a huge milestone this week. Believe it or not, but the handsome daytime television actor is celebrating his 50th birthday. And no, we can barely believe it ourselves. Here’s what you need to know.
Greg took to his Twitter account to share a photo of himself cooling off from the hot sun. He captioned it with, “The more you embrace and live life, the more there is in life to celebrate. So, here’s to 50 brilliant years, and 50 more yet to come!”
Many of his social media fans commented on his pic with, “Wow! I’m going way back watching you! Anyway, enough said. Just know that each day is a blessing, so happy birthday GV!” along with, “Hope you had an amazing birthday birthday with your family and friends. You’re so handsome.”
Back in April, Greg admitted why his character, Eric Brady, has been acting so differently in Salem lately. He told Soap Opera Digest, “To go from the priesthood to being the American Gigolo was not what I expected,” he admits with a laugh. “Eric’s never been in and out of the bedroom so much with so many different women. He had always been a very monogamous individual. I was like, ‘Ron, wow. This is way far left. Okay. That’s our guy.’ Now it’s just trying to [play him] with the right motivation and intention, not making excuses, and being accountable for his actions.”
Greg added, “He’d been holier-than-thou for so long. That’s really how I felt, and the state of mind I was at with Ron, having the conversation, ‘I’m bored. I’m tired of being the good guy. I don’t want to be that guy anymore.’”
