General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Calls on Sam for Help — and Dante Isn’t Here for It

General Hospital spoilers reveal Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) might not have had the best introduction to the people of Port Charles, but it’s clear that he wants to prove himself as a stand-up guy. Sure, he may have made mistakes with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and the whole necklace fiasco, but who hasn’t stumbled a bit on their journey to redemption? While there may be some lingering questions about that paternity test with Mac Scorpio (John J. York), none of that negates that he’s actively trying to be a better person.

It takes courage to own up to past mistakes and work towards a brighter future, and Cody seems to be doing just that. But now he has found himself in quite the sticky situation. Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has accused him of being a jewel thief and the evidence against him is strong, though much of it is circumstantial. When Cody calls upon Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) to help him prove Gladys framed him, he’s not going to expect the backlash from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who doesn’t want her getting involved.

As a private investigator, Sam has seen it all and has a sharp instinct for knowing when someone is up to no good. In this case, Sam believes Gladys is lying and framing Cody. She is the perfect ally for Cody’s pursuit of justice, as Sam is not afraid to call it like she sees it. That being said, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Sam to even commence work on this case when her boyfriend lets her know how he really feels about it.

GH Spoilers Hint Dante is Paranoid Since Anna’s Arrest

Dante may not be thinking all that rationally when his girlfriend agrees to help Cody out and Dante interjects an onslaught of reasons that might not be wise. Is this a dig at Sam’s skills as a PI, or is he hesitant to let his old childhood pal and Sam get any closer? Of course, he would never expect Sam to step out on him, but maybe he’s worried that Cody might let something slip about their past. Ever since Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was arrested after being publicly outed as a double agent, Dante is worried that secrets from his own past with the WSB — and more — could come to light, too. This might be causing him just a bit of insomnia and anxiety.

What lurks in Dante’s past? How horrible can it be from a guy like that? Apparently it’s pretty bad. He doesn’t want Sam or his mother, Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero), to ever find out. Likewise, his children can’t ever learn the truth about what Dante did. What does all of this paranoia and hysteria mean?
