As everyone knows by now, Portia has a long-standing mistrust when it comes to Spencer and that’s why she’s worried about the romantic relationship that he has with Trina right now. According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, while at Curtis’s birthday party, Portia talks to Spencer and tells him that she is worried about her daughter. With everything going on with how involved he is with Ace and of course, Esme, Portia is worried that Trina will end up getting hurt in the worst way possible.

Speaking to the publication in a new interview, Brook Kerr, who plays Portia on the hit ABC soap, puts it this way, “Trina is at that age where she’s not a kid anymore, she’s not a child, she’s not living at home, she’s in school and she’s going into that phase of adulthood. But when you have that first love and your heart opens up, sometimes you have blinders on. So Portia feels the need to play devil’s advocate and say, ‘Look, all of these things that you are feeling are valid, but let’s not forget the other side. Just go into this with your eyes wide open in all areas.’ I think that it’s scary for Portia to let go of her baby, who her life has completely revolved around, and especially with those hold paternity thing and all the stressful things the family has been dealing with.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Trina And Spencer?

Brook added, “Portia is so invested in Trina having the best life and so she’s kind of white knuckling it, trying to hold onto her and also let her be an adult. Sometimes she’s succeeding and sometimes she’s not, but to her, the issues she has with Spencer are valid. So, why not express them?”
