General Hospital Spoilers: As She Waits For News On Ned, Olivia Has A Crisis Of Faith

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) has a crisis of faith as she waits and prays outside the ICU. She’s very frustrated that there’s been no new news on Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and cries and clutches her rosary as soon encouragement arrives.

General Hospital Spoilers: Olivia Quartermaine Was Panicked

Olivia was panicked that Ned wasn’t breathing after he’d been pulled out from the pool-she and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) got there after the paramedics arrived. Ned had been running with some vital news for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) when he tripped on some towels, after confronting Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). He bashed his forehead on the concrete perimeter of the pool before falling in and Drew had pulled him out and performed CPR until the paramedics arrived.

Olivia, in the waiting room outside the ICU, clutches her rosary and prays and cries,  praying a Roman Catholic prayer for in times of crisis. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) arrives and asks if she’s okay, and Olivia starts talking about her faith as well as her frustration.

GH Spoilers: Old Days, Old Ways, She Wasn’t So Sure About The Old Ways

Olivia tells Brook Lynn she remembers as a child growing up in Bensonhurst, she remembers all the grandmas and great aunts pulling out their rosaries in times of crisis. Previously, Olivia had sworn she would never be that old fashioned old lady, but then she got old, and looks down at the rosary clutched in her hand.

Brook Lynn laughs at Olivia thinking she’s old, and Olivia continues, saying that then she realized how scary life can be and she’s grateful for her rosaries, prayers and faith. She says it comforts her, and Brook Lynn asked her why she stopped praying, and she says she’s been praying all night and she doesn’t feel God is listening. Brook Lynn says if God listens to anyone it’s her, but Olivia asks why they haven’t heard anything about Ned, looks up towards heaven and asks God for a sign.

General Hospital Spoilers: A Sign?

Just then Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) approaches with tea and sympathy, or perhaps it’s Corinthos coffee; Brook Lynn says this is great and tells Carly she’s an angel. Carly explains Drew told her what happened to Ned and she wanted to be there for her and her family-if she doesn’t want her there, she understands. She’ll leave if her presence upsets Olivia, since she also had accused Ned of reporting her and Drew to the SEC for insider trading.

Just then the door to the ICU opens and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) emerges, who’s been assessing Ned and his condition. All three women look at TJ as he addresses Olivia, and says they have news about her husband-Olivia takes a deep breath.
