The Bold and the Beautiful star Katherine Kelly Lang is stepping in. The actress, who is best known for her role as Brooke Logan on the hit CBS soap, is concerned that some of the show’s fans are getting out of hand, especially when it comes to all of the supposed ‘hate’ they show for the characters online. As many fans are probably already aware, Brooke Logan and Taylor Hayes (played by Krista Allen) are on the outs again. It seems like their “friendship” pact only lasted a full six months as both Brooke and Taylor have expressed interest in getting back with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and needless to say, both women sure are unhappy about it.
And while the drama is playing out on the small screen, Katherine Kelly Lang is worried that some of it is playing out amongst adults on social media as well. That’s why she took to her Twitter account this week to write, “Even though Brooke &Taylor are at odds, we should all be respectful of actors playing the parts and also the fans. I appreciate all the love but would like to see more positivity instead of people fighting. Everybody is entitled to their opinions but let’s keep it classy folks.”
Many of her fans commented on the matter with, “Right? It’s scary that people think it’s real, when you are just doing what is written for you! Absolutely love the show!!” along with, “This is why I love you, Katherine. Actors are doing their job by playing what’s written for them – to blame them is wrong. I love your chemistry with Krista, and I loved Braylor friendship. I hope one day they can truly become friends.”
Another fan wrote, “Thank you, Katherine! Fans can get carried away and forget that this is reel life not real life. You and all your castmates are the best!”
