General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Gets An Offer She Better Not Refuse, Mason Wants Sonny

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, that Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) has an offer Ava Jerome (Maura West) best not refuse. The “family” wants Ava because of her connections to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

General Hospital Spoilers: Mason Gatlin Shows Up Unexpectedly

Ava was upset coming from Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) will reading, worried about Laura Collins (Genie Francis) looking for Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) in Chechnya. She tells Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) they have to stop her-he tries to calm her down, saying she won’t find him there (as far as they know). Then, as they are talking, Mason pops up and starts taunting Ava about not missing her husband very much, and Austin wonders if he’s just there to torment them.

Mason then tells Ava that “they” – referring to “the family” – need something else entirely. They need Ava to work her family connections, referring to her Jerome family mob connections.

GH Spoilers: Too Late

Ava then tells Mason that he’s too late, she’s an art gallery owner, and she has no more close family connections to the Jerome crime family who are alive. They’re twice dead, first her father, Victor Jerome (Jack Axelrod) and then her brother, Julian Jerome (William DeVry) and Mason, now sitting at Austin’s desk, remarks “Hmmm”. Mason notes “they” were impressed by her pedigree, and the fact that she was a Jerome certainly did get their attention; Ava says, great-then take your request down Route 21. Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker) her sister is there, maybe she can help him, but he declines, saying Olivia can’t help him, and Austin interrupts, telling him to get to the point. Austin tells Ava that Mason gets off on mind games with people because he never quite figured out what to do with his life.

General Hospital Spoilers: Family Connections Wanted

Austin continues, telling Mason he has to go on rounds and asks him to move it along and tell them what it is they want from them. Mason clarifies, directing his words towards Ava, and says when he refers to her family, he’s not talking about the Jeromes, or even the Cassadines, what are left of them. Then he throws a zinger, and confirms that the “Family” must indeed be a mob family.

Mason tells Ava he’s talking about the father of her daughter, Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola). He tells Ava that the biggest value she holds for them is her connection to Sonny-Ava glares at him.
