Kristen had been able to get help from Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) to help her to get out of trouble in the past. Kristen may find that she and Gwen are dealing with similar problems.

Kristen may remind Gwen that she had gotten into to trouble with the law because she blackmailed Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Kristen knew that Brady wanted to help Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidra Hall), Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), and Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) because they had been infected with a deadly toxin by Orpheus AKA Milo Harp (George DelHoyo). Kristen had a rare orchid that could help Marlena, Kayla, and Kate.

Kristen got Brady to break up with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Kristen had been able to move in with Brady and their daughter Rachel Black (Finley Rose Slater). Kristen did not know that her sister Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) would steal the orchid and kidnap Marlena, Kayla, and Kate for her own devious plans. Kristen was able to convince Megan to get her out of trouble with the law but Megan wants Kristen to marry her son Dimitri Von Leuchsner (Peter Porte). Kristen does not want to marry Dimitri because she wants to be able to find a way to get Brady back.

Gwen may need to tell Kristen that she has been having trouble with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Gwen had wanted to be in a relationship with Xander but she knew that he was married to Dr. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Xander had gotten into trouble because he had helped Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) kidnap Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) to get revenge on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Gwen had been able to help Xander to stay out of trouble with the law. Gwen had hoped to be able to get into a relationship with Xander because Sarah decided to divorce him after she found out that he had kidnapped Susan.

Gwen was devastated that Xander did not want to be with her because he could not get over Sarah. Gwen turned to Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) in order to try to move on from Xander. Gwen has been shocked that Xander has been getting close to Chloe and has moved in with her. Xander has been working with Gwen at her family’s newspaper The Spectator. Xander knew that Chloe needed a job and wanted her to work with him at The Spectator. Gwen reluctantly decided to allow Xander to give Chloe the job at The Spectator.
