The above eventually led to Thomas’ termination as Hope’s lead designer, then brought back a short time later. Her resulting admiration for his reform efforts developed into romantic feelings.

One problem with Brooke and Taylor’s friendship agreement is that they based it on a false premise. In their minds, Ridge was the problem that they needed to avoid.

By absolving themselves of responsibility for the triangle all three characters created and sustained for years, Brooke and Taylor set themselves up for failure. While they did not totally condemn Ridge, citing him as the negative influence for their contentious relationship built a house of soapy cards.

Current and coming scenes have both ladies arguing about Hope and Thomas’ issues. But that storyline is a proxy for the unresolved issues between Brooke and Taylor that may be forever unresolved. Both ladies love Ridge, and he has an unmeasurable amount of love for them, thus the enduring triangular dilemma.
