There is a lot of speculation that a The Bold and the Beautiful alum might become the next Superman. And of course, we are talking about actor Pierson Fode, who used to play Thomas Forrester on the hit CBS soap. Here’s what you need to know.

Hollywood insider Marc Malkin was the first to report on the Superman speculation. He wrote in Variety, “I hear that the 31-year-old actor could be in the running for the coveted role. Sources tell me that Fodé sent in a self-tape, which included a montage of footage showing his very Clark Kent-like childhood on a farm in the small town of Moses Lake, Wash. I’m told Gunn liked what he saw.”

The last time that Pierson was on The Bold and the Beautiful, his character Thomas Forrester made the decision to move from Los Angeles to New York City to be with Caroline Spencer and their young son, Douglas. As many fans can recall, he was also involved with Sally Spectra. As many fans know, when Thomas came back, actor Matthew Atkinson took over the role. He came back with his young son Douglas to announce that Caroline had died and as many fans know already, chaos has since ensued as Thomas has been nothing but trouble. But some would say that he brings good trouble, of course. 

Even though there was speculation that Pierson would be returning to the series back in February of 2018, that turned out to be much ado about nothing. There was online buzz that he was spotted on the set of the CBS soap opera and was supposed to appear in an episode that was directed by fellow co-star Heather Tom. The actress tagged several of her The Bold and the Beautiful co-stars on Instagram for the episode, but it turned out to be nothing more than just an oversight.  

Will Pieson Fode Become The Next Superman?

For now, we will definitely keep our fingers crossed for Pierson!
