King Charles Is Super Jealous Of Kate Middleton

Could it be that King Charles is feeling a wee bit jealous of his daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton? Well, it depends on who you ask. There’s a new report that suggests the King of England definitely noticed how the Princess of Wales managed to steal his thunder during one of his most recent royal engagements. And needless to say, he definitely wasn’t very happy about it. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

King Charles Is Super Jealous Of Kate Middleton

Apparently, King Charles was left none too pleased when the Princess of Wales managed to steal his spotlight during the Chelsea Flower Show in London. That’s because the media was so focused on Kate Middleton and her appearance at the show that a lot of people didn’t even realize that Charles and his wife Camilla Parker Bowles were even there to begin with. This has prompted a lot of people to wonder if Charles might actually be jealous of the attention that other royal family members seem to get over him.

Paul Burrell, who was once Princess Diana’s trusted butler, suspects that King Charles has an “element of jealousy” to Kate Middleton in a similar way that he was once jealous of his ex-wife, too.  In an interview with Dan Wootton, Burrell put it this way, “In the old days there was a rivalry between Diana and Charles and Charles was jealous of Diana’s popularity. He didn’t like her being as popular as she was because it was her star rose and his fell. He once said to her ‘I married you and made you royal, without me, you’d be nobody.’”

But as far as King Charles and Kate Middleton’s relationship is concerned, Burrell added, “I think there is an element of jealousy in the King, but I think he is also looking to the future. I think he thinks, Kate and and William are the best people for the job, they are following in my wake, I am not going to be King for a very long time, they are waiting to take over the reins and I think he’s looking to the future.”

Does King Charles Have A Jealousy Problem?

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
