General Hospital fans are sharing their first impression of actress Kate Mansi in her new role as Kristina Davis. As many fans probably already know, Kate replaced actress Lexi Ainsworth, who has left General Hospital to work on her other projects. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for both General Hospital fans and critics to weigh in on Kate Mansi’s first day in Port Charles. Some have taken to social media to comment on her debut with, “Love her!!! she was great on Days!!! and she walked right in through those doors and took over…great recast, I will always love and miss Lexi, at least GH got it right!” along with, “I will always love Lexi, but thought that Kate did a good job (was never impressed with the other one that replaced Lexi). Look forward to more with her.”
Another fan wrote, “Thought she did great. She had great family chemistry with Kelly Monaco. Looking forward to seeing what’s next as I have a feeling that Kate has found her place in Port Charles. Hopefully the producers keep her in General Hospital because she’s a perfect fit.”
Just recently, actress Lexi Ainsworth opened up about her bittersweet departure from the show. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, the actress said, “It’s definitely bittersweet and hard to say good-bye to this chapter in my life because it was such a significant part of my life. I was 16 when I started and my family on the show is like my second family because I basically grew up on the show. It will be sad not to have the opportunity to work with them on the show anymore, but I know that I will continue to have relationships with those people, and hopefully we can work together down the line.”
