Talk about two daytime television beauties! General hospital star Laura Wright dug into the archives to share a wonderful photo of her and her co-star Kelly Monaco to help celebrate her birthday! As many fans probably already know, Kelly’s birthday is May 23rd. Keep reading below for everything you need to know!
Sharing an old photo of the two of them together, Laura captioned it with, “Old school photo but one of our favs !! Happy Birthday @kellymonaco1 I hope you have a beautiful day !!!”
Many of her fans commented on the photo with, “Beautiful picture of both of you. Happy Birthday Kelly . Have a wonderful one,” along with, “Love this picture!!! What a fun photo! Happy Birthday to you and I’m a huge fan of yours and your show and I hope you stay with GH your great.”
Another fan added, “Have a wonderful birthday, you’re more beautiful today than the day you first joined GH. All the ladies on GH are absolutely gorgeous.”
Back in 2003, Kelly admitted that she wasn’t like other soap opera stars or even celebrities. She always preferred to live a much quieter life away from the spotlight, compared to everyone else. She told Soap Opera Digest in an interview that year, “I’m very shy. When I’m in surroundings that I’m not familiar with, around people I don’t know, I have a tendency to sit back and take it all in; I’m an observer. Some people mistake silence for being arrogant or snotty, and it’s not. I’m just protecting myself.”
She continued, “I’m not out in the Hollywood scene. I don’t drink, so I’m not into clubs. [My friends and I] usually just sit home and play dominoes or card games. Or else we go to Big Bear, Las Vegas or Palm Springs. I don’t talk about whether or not I have a boyfriend. That’s a part of my life I keep private.”
