General Hospital star Wally Kurth can consider himself to be a very lucky man. That’s because he gets to work with some of the most talented actors in the daytime television world. In fact, he recently opened up about having Jane Elliot back in Port Charles. Here’s what he has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Wally made it no secret that he definitely missed having his co-stars on the set of the show. He put it this way to the publication, “I love Jane, love having her back. It’s just great. I mean, it just feels like GH for me when she’s around and I feel like we’re already back into our rhythm.”
He continued, “We had lunch the other day and got caught up on everything. Jane and I have known each other for a long time and I have so much respect for her. I can’t hide anything from her — she picks up on everything! She knows me really well and she loves me and she holds me accountable.”
Wally is someone who has always had a lot of praise for both General Hospital and his co-stars. Back in 2022, he had nothing but excellent things to say about the soap’s autism storyline. Speaking to TV Insider at the time, he said, “The writers knew about [Brogan and] Frank wanted to make sure how I felt about it. He wanted me to know that it was somewhat from my own personal experience that they were inspired to tell this story.”
Wally also says that he loves the fact that the show’s writing team have done their research. “The writers… have done a good job at looking at Leos past, present, and future and designed, I think, a very accurate and truthful telling of a child who’s having to deal with [autism],” the Emmy nominee shared.
