Days of Our Lives spoilers say that despite all of the baby mama drama, EJ is not wasting his time at all. Soon after he learns that Stefan has proposed to Gabi, he decides to do the same with Nicole. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, actor Dan Feurrigiel, who plays EJ on the hit Peacock soap, tells the publication that EJ is absolutely in love with Nicole and that this is something that’s been thinking about doing for a very long time. Just seeing Stefan do it accelerated his decision.
Dan puts it this way, “He wants to do this, but also there could be a benefit to doing it right now. It comes across as he’s only doing it because of Stefan and Gabi, and it’s true, to a degree, but there’s also depth behind it.”
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Nicole feels quite insulted, as she doesn’t believe that EJ is doing it for the right reasons. Plus, he doesn’t have a ring to give her. Dan adds, “It’s so impromptu. So lame. There’s no fanfare, and it seems like there’s no thought behind it. Nicole’s life, ‘What are you doing, you idiot?’ EJ knows he kind of got caught. He’s like, ‘Ah, yeah, sorry, my bad.’ There’s no way to talk his way out of this one.”
No matter how Nicole looks at this, EJ insists that his proposal is sincere and that this is the real deal. Dan adds, “I’m pretty sure this is the first time he’s actually professed his love for her. It’s 100 percent genuine, but he’s also using a situation to his advantage, which Nicole does not appreciate.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers further say that later on, Nicole admits that the reason why she can’t accept his proposal is because of her baby. She doesn’t know if she’s carrying EJ’s child, or if it could be Eric’s child. However, EJ, who is unaware of the real truth, is hopeful that she will come around. Dan says, “EJ is definitely in love with Nicole, but he’s also not going to pressure her. He’s going to let her take her time, especially since she called him out.”
