Lexi Ainsworth To Join The Cast Of Days of Our Lives?

Could it be that Lexi Ainsworth is thinking about making the jump? Maybe. There’s new speculation that the General Hospital alum might be making the switch to another daytime soap. In fact, some believe that she could be headed to Days of Our Lives, seeing how her General Hospital replacement, Kate Mansi, is from Salem herself. Lexi Ainsworth To Join The Cast Of Days of Our Lives?

Just as a refresher, she’s been replaced by Days of Our Lives alum Kate Mansi, who will be starring as the new Kristina on General Hospital. After it was announced that Kate Mansi would be her replacement as the new Kristina, Lexi took to her Instagram account to clarify a few things. She wrote, “Hey guys, I wanted to come on here and speak to my GENERAL HOSPITAL fans and let you guys know that after 10 transformative years, both personally and for my character, that I will be leaving GENERAL HOSPITAL.”

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Lexi hinted that she would definitely be open to joining another daytime television show now that it looks like her time in Port Charles is definitely over. She said, “I actually auditioned for The Young and the Restless last year when they were recasting Summer. But that was for more of, like, a blonde bombshell, which I am not. But a lot of the people I work with on General Hospital are on other soaps, and they are all people that I would love to work with again.”

What’s Next For Lexi?

Lexi also reflected a little bit about her time on General Hospital. She said, “When I think back on my whole history on the show, it really comes down to the writers and the storylines that they provided, like the domestic violence storyline and Kristina coming out as sexually fluid. I’m so lucky that the writers entrusted me with the storylines because those stories are so important; they are the type of stories that I want to share, that I want to write and produce.”
