General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is Pushing Nina To Marry Him

Carly Corinthos might not want to read any of this. That’s because General Hospital spoilers say that Sonny is taking a big step forward in his relationship with Nina Reeves. In fact, he surprises her with a marriage proposal. But it’s not like we wouldn’t have otherwise expected this? Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is Pushing Nina To Marry Him

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny on the hit ABC soap, says that his character has no hidden agenda. He simply wants to marry Nina because he loves her. Maurice put it this way, “And I think when she told him that she was cool with him going to the Michael and Willow wedding alone, I think that’s when he felt ready. He was like, ‘This chick’s cool, man.’”

General Hospital spoilers say that Nina still doesn’t know that it was Sonny who put the SEC on Carly’s tail but is well aware of the fact that Michael is not her biggest fan. But even with all of the drama in their lives, Sonny assures Nina that he’s committed to her and their shared future, for better or for worse. 

Maurice adds that he was greatly moved by the engagement scene when he shot it. He said, “I haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve heard from people who’ve seen it that the proposal Sonny does to Nina is as good as it gets. Enough people have watched it that have vouched for what I was thinking about when I did it. It was written beautifully, and she was vulnerable and emotional. Cynthia was so good. I don’t know what else to say except I know I’ve done a lot of proposals, and this one is definitely up there as one of the best.”
