Prince Harry Not Wearing Seatbelt Just Like Princess Diana During ‘Near Catastrophic’ Chase

History could have repeated itself, but thankfully it didn’t. Royal Family News says that some eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Prince Harry was not wearing his back seat while he was in the back of the car with Meghan Markle and Doria Ragland during their alleged “near catastrophic” chase with the paparazzi in New York City on Tuesday night. A lot of people can’t help but wonder why the Duke of Sussex didn’t take the extra precaution, seeing how his own mother Princess Diana died after not wearing a seatbelt in her car crash back in 1997. Here’s what you need to know.

Apparently, no one had their seatbelts on when they got into their car last night. Sharing photos of Harry, Meghan and Doria in the backseat of a taxi cab, one critic wrote on Twitter, “When you’re in the middle of a near catastrophic car chase wouldn’t you put on your seat belt?”

Of course, it didn’t take long at all for other critics to weigh in on the matter, too. Some have commented with, “Particularly if you lost your mother in a car accident because she wasn’t wearing her seat belt.  Only the bodyguard was wearing one and only he survived. I’d remember that,” along with, “They look bored, not terrified for their lives. And yes, seatbelts being used would make sense, if in fact there actually was a near catastrophic car chase.”

Another critic wrote, “He looks as sick as a chip, as if he’s had enough. Not once did they look scared at all, as for the seatbelt you would think it would be the first thing he would do getting into a car, especially after what happened to his Mum.”

Royal Family News: Buckingham Palace Makes No Comment

So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not made any additional comments about the matter. But with that said, it’s also being reported that no one from Buckingham Palace has reached out to Harry and Meghan to see if they are okay. In fact, even Harry’s own father King Charles hasn’t texted him about the chase.
