General Hospital Spoilers UPDATE Wednesday, May 17: Ear Music, Seeking Answers, Pleas For Help

General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, May 7 tease “ear music”, seeking answers, and cries for help. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) gets “ear music” as something’s just what she wants to hear, Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) seeking answers and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) pleads for help.

General Hospital Spoilers: Great Idea

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) tells Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) she’s a genius, as she apparently comes up with a great idea. Spencer’s in a living situation he doesn’t want to be in, with he and Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) living in the same house. He wants his little brother Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) to be raised by him, not his mother, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to make that happen.

So far, the hopes that Esmé under stress would turn into the old Esmé so her charges can be resurrected hasn’t happened. They have to find some way to make sure that happens so Spencer can get Ace.

GH Spoilers: Ear Music

Portia hears something that’s music to her ears as she smiles and says that’s exactly what she wanted to hear. She’s seeking out Ava Jerome (Maura West) for something, but it looks like she’s at General Hospital. She may be trying to get Ava to side with her against Spencer for Trina’s sake, but that may not happen. Ava knows that Spencer is a whole different kind of Cassadine than his father or the recently deceased patriarch Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

General Hospital Spoilers: Surprising Requests

Meanwhile, there appears to be a surprising request on Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) part as he talks to Selina Wu (Lydia Look) at The Savoy. She tells him she can make that DNA test go any way he wants it, but is she offering, or is he really asking? She’s got someone in her family that can make that happen-Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) has faked a paternity test or two in his time.

It’s hard to believe Curtis could be such a duplicitous daddy, but if he wants Trina to be his daughter bad enough, maybe so. He paid her to get information on Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) criminal record.

GH Spoilers: Exploring Options

At the Collins house, Esmé holds Ace as she appears to be arguing with Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about exploring her options. Esmé is frustrated as she complains to Laura, wanting to know when she gets to live her life on her own terms.  It’s a pretty full house with Esmé, Ace, Laura, Spencer, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and Charlotte Cassadine (AnaSofia Bianchi) since it doesn’t look like Charlotte’s moved. Esmé is pretty possessive of her baby and even more so now that he’s back in her arms! She certainly won’t agree to any sort of co-parenting with Spencer.

General Hospital Spoilers: Seeking Answers

Mac is seeking answers from Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) but she tells him he’ll have to ask his brother Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). The answers he seeks could either be about a case or perhaps about something more personal-although it would seem Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) might be more interested in personal questions. Perhaps Mac is asking something about Holly Sutton to clear up the PCPD file on the Victor Cassadine case since they were not in the loop on the takedown.

Port Charles citizens were kidnapped so it was definitely in the PCPD’s interests to know what happened, even if after the fact. Mac will have to catch up with Robert.

GH Spoilers: Pleas For Help

Elsewhere, Holly shows up at someone’s door with pleas for help, and she seems a little desperate. She tells the person she really needs their help, but is that situation legal or personal? Robert is doing some digging after witnessing her talking about success on she and Selina’s last successful project. Was there more besides that little matter of spiking Victor’s drink and taking away his manhood?
