The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, May 16, divulge that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has a whopper to tell his wrongly convicted mom Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). On a spectacular Friday Cliffhanger, Kyle learned that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive. Red framed Diane for her death so obviously Kyle will be itching to let his mom in on the secret even though he swore he would keep quiet.
Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) was the one who told Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Jack Abbott, (Peter Bergman) and Kyle that Phyllis Summers faked her own death just as Diane did years prior. Oh what a tangled web we weave when first and second we practice to deceive.
Diane is initially breathless and speechless when she hears the news that she was almost sent to prison due to Phyllis’ setup.
Elsewhere Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) manages to annoy Jack at Society. Victor could rub it in about Diane which would make Jack hot under the collar. But again, he was also sworn to secrecy and he has a better track record of keeping promises than his hot headed son.
Later, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) wants to know why Jack asked to meet with her. Won’t she be surprised.
Elsewhere Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) take a trip down memory lane about Phyllis.
Then again, that time they irrationally slept together might come up as well. Summer and Billy regret this betrayal and it could be that as Billy offers Summer condolences, she might give the secret away.
When Billy worries about the bombshell blowup brewing, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) lends a sympathetic ear. She also has family problems of her own—her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) isn’t coping well with the news of his new baby sister. Explosive show spoilers tease that these two grow closer over their misery!
