General Hospital Star Chad Duell Admits Girlfriend’s Pregnancy Was A Shock

General Hospital star Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) admits that when he first learned that his girlfriend Luana Lucci was pregnant with his child, he definitely felt the biggest shock of his life. But now that feeling has died down, he’s excited to become a first time father. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

General Hospital Star Chad Duell Admits Girlfriend’s Pregnancy Was A Shock

Chad is going to be a daddy! It’s a role that he’s definitely ready to take on. Speaking to Maurice Benard during an episode of his YouTube series, State of Mind, Chad admits that he was definitely shocked to find out that his girlfriend of only a few short months was pregnant with his first child. He and Luana only started dating during the fall of 2022.

Chad put it this way, “When you live a life of routine — repeat, repeat — time goes by fast. And you feel like it’s depressing. My greater purpose isn’t just about TV shows and making good money. That shouldn’t be anybody’s purpose. I guess I felt, what am I meant to do? Me and Luana were praying, not knowing, for the same thing at the same time. We weren’t in a relationship at that time, either.”

But because Chad is the kind of person that likes to roll with the punches, he’s prepared to become the best father that he can be. He said, “People always say God works in mysterious ways. Mysterious to us but it’s perfect in the long run,” while also adding that being a father “is going to be my big purpose.”

General Hospital Star Chad And Luana Are Preparing For Parenthood

Chad added, “It’s hard to still wrap my head around. It was a shock, but at the same time, what a beautiful shock. And it’s going to be a blessing that keeps on giving.”
