Sometimes no answer really is the loudest answer. Prince William is being praised for apparently keeping his cool when he could have easily attacked Prince Harry at King Charles’ coronation this past weekend. In fact, television personality Piers Morgan says that the Prince of Wales proved himself to be the bigger man when he kept a dignified silence around his brother, despite all of the ways that Harry had thrown him under the bus in the past. Here’s what you need to know.
While there were some royal fans out there hoping that William and Harry could have at least used the coronation as an opportunity to end their feud, that didn’t happen. Instead, it appeared as though William did everything he could to avoid Harry, even though the Duke of Sussex was only in London for a mere 24 hours.
Piers Morgan put it this way, “The Prince of Wales has maintained a dignified silence as Harry has repeatedly and shamefully trashed him, his wife, Catherine, his father, Charles, and his stepmother, Camilla, in a repugnant tell-all book and Netflix documentary series… No man would prefer standing back and saying nothing while his own sibling torches their whole family in such a disgusting manner.”
But then again, Prince William probably didn’t want to do anything that would have taken the spotlight off of his father, King Charles. After all, the coronation was his big day and certainly a historic day for Great Britain. Any interaction between William and Harry would have certainly made front page headlines the next day.
Now, whether or not Harry will return to the UK anytime soon remains to be seen, but for now it looks like he’s been keeping a low profile in California after the coronation. His wife Meghan Markle, meanwhile, was spotted taking a hike with friends a day after all of the royal festivities. There’s a very good chance that Harry was terribly jet-lagged after all of his traveling or he simply didn’t want to be seen by the paparazzi.
