General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, May 9 tease sexy surprises, Quartermaine crises, and scary preparation. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) gets a potentially sexy surprise, Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) uninformed about a crisis, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) goes through some scary preparation.
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) who Joss confided to was afraid she’d never see bratty Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) again is smiling. She tells Dex that sounds like just what she needs right now, possibly getting another satellite phone call from Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Spencer had apparently swam from the wreckage of the Haunted Star after the drone strike, the body found having been Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy).
That is very good news indeed, and Spencer, Trina, Ace Prince-Cassadine (Joey and Jay Clay) should be on their way home. Also on their way home should be Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Robert is smiling too as a potentially sexy surprise comes to see him in the District Attorney’s office. Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) is apparently all over her disgust when they were interrupted by Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) prior to the second Greenland rescue mission. Holly and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were a big part of the reason Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) able to bring Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) home to donate her bone marrow. Diane may have also heard and while she’s happy all is well on that end, she tells Robert he’s very much included as well-maybe they’ll have a date to celebrate.
Meanwhile, back at GH, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) put their heads together to solve a problem. Before the Cassadine kidnappings, Sam had bailed out Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) not quite believing he wasn’t set up for stealing a necklace. Sam tells Dante, likely referring to Cody, that for his sake she’s willing to make an effort.
Cody maintains he was framed for stealing an expensive bracelet Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) had on loan from a jeweler that Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) was wearing. Gladys tried way too hard to prevent Sam from talking to Cody or bailing him out, and that’s way too suspicious.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy acts like she’s having a crisis over not being told about another crisis, since she wants to rule the roost that’s not hers! More than likely this has something more to do with the SEC problem that she tried to hold off at Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow’s wedding. Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and a few others apparently think that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) was the whistleblower and Tracy will try to prove him innocent. Drew will have a little more than words with Ned when he gets home, and they’ll come to blows.
Ned will find himself on the defensive, and not only with Drew when he gets to the mansion. It looks like his mother will be the only one to believe he didn’t call the SEC as he heads to answer the front door. But standing in his way are Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), Olivia shouting, “going somewhere?”
Ned’s not going anywhere if Olivia and Brook Lynn can help it, and Drew hasn’t even gotten there yet. Ned’s got a “lot of ‘splainin’ to do to Olivia and Brook Lynn!
Back at GH, Willow and Michael share some tender moments as she gets ready to go through some scary preparation for the bone marrow transplant. Willow will have to be in isolation and extra chemo to prepare for the transplant, and Liesl will likely be in isolation too and prepared. Willow’s a little nervous about the preparation process as she tells Michael it could be the last time she holds his hand. But that’s the last time before the transplant, as they try to remain positive about it’s success.
In front of an elevator in the hospital, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is concerned and in near panic as she takes Sam up on her suggestion when they talked previously. She humbles herself to a flabbergasted Carly, as she’s in tears and begging Carly to help her. She’s worried about Willow, of course, and may not even be in the loop about the bone marrow transplant-Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) not even telling her.
He’s been too busy trying to take care of Carly and Drew and keeping the SEC case from going to court. The least that Carly can do is bring her up to speed on her Aunt Liesl’s rescue and Willow’s transplant.
