Sometimes you don’t have to use words at all to express exactly how you feel. And if there’s anyone who knows exactly what we are talking about, it’s probably Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex was spotted hiking this week with a few friends a day after King Charles’ coronation. And while she certainly has not said anything about the royal events of this past weekend, she did let her fashion choices do all the talking for her. According to Page Six, Meghan was spotted wearing Princess Diana’s iconic watch during her hike after she purposely skipped King Charles’ coronation. A lot of people believe that this might have been done intentionally as a slight towards Camilla Parker Bowles, who was officially crowned the new Queen of England on Saturday. Because it’s not every day that you wear an expensive watch while hiking with your friends, and especially not one that was once worn by Princess Diana herself, right?
Not only did Meghan wear Princess Diana’s cartier watch, but she also wore a Bentley & Skinner diamond tennis bracelet, which King Charles is believed to have gifted Diana before their divorce. If that’s not saying “Team Diana” really loud, then we don’t know what it’s saying. Talk about a power move.
Meghan was without her husband, Prince Harry, during her hike. But that might be because the Duke of Sussex was probably catching up on his sleep after his whirlwind trip to London over the weekend. As many royal fans know, Harry was at King Charles’ coronation ceremony in London but quickly left in order to catch his flight back home to London on Saturday. He wanted to make it home just in time to celebrate his son Archie’s 4th birthday. So far Harry and Meghan have not shared any details or made any comments about Archie’s birthday party, but some believe that it was a low-key affair.
