King Charles Gaslighting Meghan Markle And Archie?

Let’s just say that things are certainly still very salty between many members of the British Royal Family and Meghan Markle. There’s a new report that suggests King Charles might have slighted Meghan Markle during his coronation lunch this weekend. Actually, make that both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry as the King of England made it pretty clear that he was none too happy with the fact that his two grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, were not in attendance at this coronation. King Charles Gaslighting Meghan Markle And Archie?

As many royal fans know by now, Meghan Markle opted to skip the coronation and stayed home in California with the couple’s two children, Archie and Lilibet. Apparently, she made the decision because she didn’t want to cause any drama or worse, steal the spotlight away from the King of England on what was a very historic day for the monarchy. 

Yet, it seems like King Charles took it as a diss for Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to not be there on his coronation day. But at the same time, the coronation also happened to be on the same day as Archie’s 4th birthday and the Duchess of Sussex said in the past that there was no way that she would miss her son’s birthday for the world. During the coronation lunch, King Charles wished his grandson a very happy birthday “wherever he was.” If that weren’t enough, King Charles also made it no secret that he was genuinely quite disappointed that Prince Harry did not stay in London for the entire weekend.

What’s Next For The Royal Family?

Many royal critics commented on the matter with, “If it was a genuine sentiment he could have called and told him that, and not announced it at a party that you didn’t invite him or his parents to and then leak it to the press,” along with, “The gaslighting is insane. Charles will likely never see the Sussex kids ever again.”

Another critic wrote, “Can you imagine if Archie and Lilibet showed up at the Coronation? King who? They would have been the focus of every camera and conversation.”

Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
