General Hospital Spoilers: Diane’s Interesting Response To Sonny’s Plea For Help

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has an interesting response to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) plea for help. He asks her to help Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) apparently with the SEC case, which brings questions that hint that Diane thinks Sonny has a motive.

General Hospital Spoilers: A Last Straw Divorce

It sounds like perhaps Sonny is offering to pay Carly’s legal fees in relation to the SEC case, since all her accounts are frozen. Diane reminds him that their divorce was legally straightforward although acrimonious to put it mildly, and she laughs. Sonny says he’ll give her that-the straw that broke the camel’s back had been when Sonny rented the Haunted Star for a romantic evening with Carly, as a grand gesture.

Carly had run late and Sonny assumed she’d stood him up, and when she got there she walked in on him and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in bed! That was the last straw after Nina had known Sonny was alive and living as an amnesiac named Mike in Nixon Falls for several months and never told her.

GH Spoilers: All Ties Severed

Diane also reminds Sonny that Carly severed all ties between them – and that she had meant it, waiving her rights for millions of dollars of shared assets. All she had asked for and all she would accept was her house and joint custody of their daughter Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), wanting Sonny out of her life permanently.

Sonny tells Diane she just answered her own question, and Diane asks how so, wanting clarification. Sonny clarifies since Carly is Donna’s mother and they share custody of her, does she think he would allow Donna’s mother to go to prison? Diane acts like she doesn’t believe him, and asks him, you mean all of this is because of Donna-and he says it is.

General Hospital Spoilers: Diane Miller Questions Sonny Corinthos’ Motives?

Diane tells Sonny that she has to hand it to him, and that she is very impressed, considering the temptation-and says don’t tell her he hasn’t thought about it. Sonny looks clueless, and Diane says, come on, Sonny – if Carly goes to prison, you have sole custody of Donna and not only that, he can share her with Nina. Sonny will likely not respond well to what sounds like accusations and a motive for turning Carly into the SEC, which is something he’d never do.

Why would he have Brick (Stephen A. Smith) send the SEC agents on a wild goose chase for Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) if he’d been the whistleblower? Sonny’s trying to find out who the whistleblower is and stop them in their tracks!
