Speaking to Michael Fairman TV in a new interview, The Bold and the Beautiful Executive Producer Brad Bell suggested that there are going to be some major changes made on the show, and that it will all begin with the cast first. He said that in the coming weeks and months ahead, The Bold and the Beautiful viewers can expect to see more cast members of the next generation introduced.

Bell put it this way, “I feel like we are in a good spot right now. I think the cast is excellent. We have a right mix of love and romance, and then Sheila [Kimberlin Brown] brings action and adventure. However, this summer, we are going to be introducing the next gen. We started with Joshua Hoffman as RJ. The show began in 1987, and now we have the next Ridge Forrester that can take us to the next 9,000 episodes.”

When Bell was asked if RJ Forrester is going to have a significant role at Forrester Creations, he said, “Yes, we are building out our 20-something part of the cast.”

Many The Bold and the Beautiful fans and critics alike commented on the matter with, “He seriously thinks the show is in a good place? Has he not noticed the extreme and constant negativity online in the last decade or so? Sure. This next-gen will be gone within a year.”
