Prince William Making His Own Documentary To Tell His Side Of The Story

Well, now it looks like it’s going to be his turn. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William is seriously thinking about making his own “fly on the wall” documentary to apparently compete with his brother, Prince Harry. As many royal fans already know, both Harry and his wife Meghan Markle managed to tell their side of the story in their Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan. Well, now it looks like the Prince of Wales is looking to do the same. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

According to The Sun, the future king of England is looking to get some screen time of his own. After Prince Harry had managed to throw the royal family under the bus many times over in his multiple interviews while promoting his book, Spare, William apparently wants his time in the limelight, too. But he doesn’t want to spill all of the royal family’s dirty little secrets. Instead, he wants to do a multi-part series about his new homelessness project.

One source close to the situation put it this way, “This is pretty extraordinary — it’s never been done before. Generally access to senior royals is very limited and totally controlled, but William clearly wants to change that. He’s keen to highlight his work, particularly on a homeless project which was a subject very close to his mother’s heart, and to connect with the public on a new level. He knows all too well how important it is that the monarchy develops a more modern relationship with the British people. TV is a great way to do that, but this is a dramatic contrast to what Harry has been doing.”

What’s Next For Prince William?

And just like Harry, William would also like the television cameras to follow him around and is even willing to give a little glimpse into his personal life, too. That would definitely be a first for a member of the royal family.

The insider added, “William has invited cameras to follow him as he fulfills his duties, giving a proper insight into himself and his work as Prince of Wales — this isn’t anything like his brother’s TV appearances.”
