Could this be an ultimate act of royal betrayal? Well, it depends on who you ask. It seems as though the Sussex Squad is turning their backs on Princess Eugenie, as they just can’t understand why she would even consider being in the same pub as Piers Morgan, let alone a few yard away from him. Here’s what you need to know.
As many royal fans are probably aware by now, both Princess Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice were spotted going to an event at the Princess Royal pub in Notting Hill this past week. While Eugenie kept her distance from Piers Morgan, Beatrice actually made the effort to give him a hug. Seeing how Piers has said some of the most awful things about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the past, the Sussex Squad just can’t seem to understand why the York sisters would betray Harry and Meghan in this way.
Needless to say, some people think that this might be Piers’ way to somehow infiltrate Harry and Meghan’s inner circle. Some commented on the matter with, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Piers has tried to get to Beatrice and especially Eugenie to get Meghan to speak to him. He’s always been friends with the Yorks, so this isn’t surprising. I really think people don’t understand how toxic and deep the press and that family go. It’s a way of life for them and they see nothing wrong with it,” along with, “I don’t expect nothing from these people. Eugenie and Beatrice shouldn’t be put in the in the middle. Is it a bad look? Absolutely, but do I consider them horrible people, no. Camilla on the other hand.”
Another critic wrote, “Piers Morgan made sure he was photographed hugging one of the two sisters. Either way you choose to look at this outing, it stinks to me. Being seen publicly with this man who earns his living bashing Meghan is not a good look for anyone who is intimately involved in the Sussexes like.”
So far Princess Eugenie herself has not made any comments about the matter.
