It wasn’t too long ago that Hope Logan lashed out at her mother Brooke Logan for not being a very good role model for her. And according to Annika Noelle, who portrays Hope on the small screen, she says there’s a very good reason behind her character’s reaction to her mother’s behavior. Here’s what you need to know.

As many The Bold and the Beautiful fans can recall, Hope unloaded on her mother because she wants to blame her own bad decisions on the fact that she never had a better role model in Brooke. She sees Brooke going back and forth with her ex Ridge Forrester and that’s why Hope thinks she too is so confused about her own love life.

Recalling that scene, Annika put i this way, “She definitely was on a roll, but I think it was a lot of repressed feelings that she never has fully dealt with since she was younger. For me, it was really fun. It was the first time, for me, playing Hope that I really got to play those dynamics between Hope and Brooke’s history.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Next For Hope Logan?

Annika also admitted that there was more than what was being said between Hope and her mother. It seems like Hope has more on her mind than what she is willing to admit.

She continued, “It was those mini multi-layers that are there, to Hope trying to be so, so distant and far away from what her mother stood for to kind of who she is now. People change. I think it was really fun to just get to see Hope, who was obviously repressing that in a deep, dark place, and it just kind of exploded out when she saw Brooke in her nightie standing there.
