Even though he’s bold and he’s certainly beautiful, Carter Walton just can’t catch a break, and especially when it comes to his love life. And if there’s anyone who knows this feeling all too well, it’s the character’s portrayer, The Bold and the Beautiful star Lawrence Saint-Victor. In a new interview with Daytime Confidential, Lawrence says that he loves the fact that his character is always the underdog, whether it’s in his love life or his professional life. He said, “The more drama, the better,” while also adding, “Yeah, make his life miserable, so I can have some fun. He can’t catch a break, but he loves hard, though.”

When asked if it’s a character flaw for Carter, Lawrence agreed. In fact, he also said that Carter is the kind of guy who just doesn’t see all the red flags no matter how much you try to dangle them in front of him. He said, “Even with Katie! I think he saw the red flags. Bill is a factor, but he’s the father of her son! At the end of the day, Carter has the “you only live once” kind of thing. He would rather never regret not trying, but that has kicked him in the butt quite a bit. I will say though, in Carter’s failings, he’s had a vivacious love life. He got around the last few years! It didn’t end well, but in the middle, he’s having a decent time.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Next For Carter?

And while Carter doesn’t know what’s next between him and Katie, he does know that he wants his character to finally find true love. He said, “I want him to build his place at Forrester, and find love. If it’s not Katie, if it is Katie, we’ll see how that works out.”
