The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, April 28, 2023 reveal that Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will regret agreeing to defend town pariah Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) for the murder of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) when his wife fashion mogul Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) lets him know how little she thinks of his decision. But Michael thinks there is more going on than meets the eye, and he eventually will be proven right.
Elsewhere Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) acts impulsively and we can tell you that he wants to get married to jailbird Diane, stat. What will her answer be? Jack wants to be married before her trial starts and he wants to be there every step of the way for Diane. Although Diane has tried to push him away, she may not be able to withstand his torrent of charm and persuasion.
Meanwhile, Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) doesn’t like lying to her brother about their mom being alive. Can she continue the charade with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei)?
Summer desperately wanted to tell her grieving brother about Phyllis being alive, but she agreed to quiet after meeting up with Red in Chancellor Park.
Summer is also forced to lie to her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) whose mom Diane is framed for Red’s murder. But she is especially sad to see Daniel taking Phyllis’ death so very hard.
But Daniel is getting suspicious and he could tell Summer that they need to find Jeremy’s killer, believing that it’s the same person who killed Phyllis. Summer tries to get Daniel to focus on Diane and not be tripped up by Stark’s murder drama.
Will Daniel figure out why Summer is acting so odd all of a sudden? Look for these two to tangle in the coming days as Summer tries her best to keep Phyllis’ secret and her mom out of trouble. Explosive show spoilers tease that Summer’s lies take a toll on her and it could mean she ends up paying a heavy price for colluding with Phyllis.
